To generate labels a product:Note: This feature requires a PDF-viewing tool (such as Adobe Reader) installed on your workstation.
Generate labels for a product when you need to label the product's units with data from DolphinRTK, such as cautions or hazard information. These labels are generated as a PDF file, which you can save or print as you would with any other PDF file. This file requires you to enter the following properties:
Label Type: The pre-defined format of the labels you want to generate. The label type determines the size of each label, the product data included on each label, and how that data is arranged.
Note: If the available label types do not fit your needs, contact IHS Customer Care to have a custom label type designed.
Start Position: The place where the labels begin printing on the first page of the PDF. The default start position of 1 begins the labels at the first position. A start position of 2 begins the labels at the second position, 3 at the third, and so forth; this can be useful when printing onto a partially-used sheet of adhesive labels.
Number of Labels: The number of labels in the generated PDF.
To generate labels a product:
Starting at the Product Information page
Click the Labels button in the upper right.
The Labels page opens, showing a single label previewed in a PDF viewer.
In the Label Type menu, select the type of label(s) you want to generate.
The label preview refreshes to show the selected label type.
Enter the desired Label start position and the Number of labels to print. Then click Generate PDF in the upper right.
The label preview refreshes to show the start position and number of labels you entered.
Using the icons in the PDF viewer toolbar, save or print the generated labels desired.
